how does run the Compressor clutch wire on your engine bay... runs parallel ( side by side ) to the engine harness or is tapped in to this harness ?

better if I can get answer from 73/74 owners

Mine was taped in to the harness. The engine harness that runs along side the right valve cover and then along the firewall to the bulkhead connector.

I dont know if it was originally that way. Some of that wiring had been messed around with in the past. Although the tape on that harness was brittle and very old, it very well could be original.

Ok, but is your compressor wire terminal also on your bulkhead plug with rest of engine wires terminals on harness plug ?

74 is imposible to use a cavity on plug to that 'cause plug is already full because the interlock wire, so was moved to a grommet on firewall. 73 with tachs also have engine harness plug full but could it be that wire will be hanging around out of the harness tape with a separate plug

hi Natcho- looking at the factory manual it is a firewall grommet- two wires- one for the comressor and the other is for the blower motor.

CE47 is the wire diagram showing a terminal of the " T " type connector.

will try to post a pic later!!!!

yeah I have in that way... From grommet to T conector then both wires runs taped untill the green wire to blower leaves the tape on a single female spade plug. Then the blue wire continues running up to pressure dryer switch and runs back. This come and go blue wires runs over the passenger side inner fender... at this point dunno if runs back directly to compressor without an extra plug, or 74 engine harnes must have another wire taped on it to sply the power to compressor where links the A/C harness with compressor.

sorry, this could it be confusing. I made a diagram about how I wired once, but dunno if is on that way originally... will search and post.

here is a new repro harness. I made in that way long time ago, since I already have the grommet and the T plug on car since factory.

here is how I made it but dunno if is the right way. When I got my car the wires running to dryer were running over the inner fender, then came back to firewall area and from there to compressor running with engine harness. Since my engine harness wasn't untouched I had to repair ( got burned once with original car owner ), and I  fit a plug where links the A/C harness with compressor on engine harness. Then taped together with engine harness. The plug makes me able to separate the engine harness from A/C harness.

Dunno if really is on this way, or the blue wire over the engine is not taped with engine harness, or wire to compressor runs around another area, or A/C harness is always linked to engine harness and then there is two diff engine harmesses ( one with and another without A/C harness linked )

Or maybe the signal coming and going to dryer pressure doesn't run over inner fender and should run over engine and then jump to dryer somehow, so won't need an extra wire to link with compressor, plugging directly

diagram looks good to me!

tried to scan a pic and put it here but at 200k it's way too small.

you already sent me LONG TIME AGO  allmost all the sheets of those diagrams including that one, just last 3 were missed ( got 29 of 32 like the last one ), but in GIF file what doesn't look completelly good, and had really bad the seats wiring section ( imposible to read )...

However won't be bad to have them in JPG :D

anyway, that diagram still doesn't show me how exactly runs the wiring around the engine bay ;D. and judging by MY diagram and compairing with the one on the FSM sheet, I'm using one extra plug set to run the wire allong the engine.
