Just wondering where to bolt the rotisserie to on the back of my charger. Do I bolt it where the bumper bolts to or take the rear valance off and bolt it there. Any help would be awsome :scratchchin: This is my first charger that I've actually done the bottom side to. Also does any one have pics of good grey to use on the underside of the car to give it that correct primered look underneath.
Thanks Ryan

That's the way I mounted mine.  It worked fine.

Deja vu. I was having the same problem recently.

Also, the metal around where the bumber bolts to the charger seems a bit "flimsy" to me (on my charger anyway).

What kind of rotisserie are you using?

We mount ours to the bottom of the rail, where the jack plate bolts. :Twocents:

You can kinda see it in this picture :

By the way you need to put some spacers in so it dont contact the rear valence

i already took that off to pound the dents out of it, I also need to replace the peice behind the rear valence. I heard they make a quality repro peice for it.
thanks

Make sure that where ever you bolt it that the bolts and surrounding metal is solid.  I started to bolt mine to the frame rails - they looked solid but were rusted from the inside... bad news.  I bolted mine to the bumper holes AND have an L shaped piece that is also bolted to the skid plates (where the chrome bumperetts bolt to the rail).  Worked well.

GT, I was looking at the rear bumper holes on my '68 and it does seem to be a bit thin there (the metal). Is that just the way it is, or am I missing something? I also bought the stiffener deal from whirly jig that adds the extra support. So I guess I'd be fine as long as I use both?

Here's how mine is mounted:

Awesome pics, 68mmcharger. I've also got a whirly jig and now I know exactly how it's suppose to go on.  :2thumbs:

Rack - I had to add about 6" to the piece of angle in the "kit" from Whirley Jig to make it fit. It shows in the top picture best. I you need larger pictures or close ups let me know.

Hmmm, not sure what you're referring to. Do you mean that extra support bracket that attaches to the "L" bracket on the bottom? That long piece isn't long enough?

Rack

Yeah I see it now. That sucks.

I went to the whirly jig site and they have two separate support brackets you can buy. They're both the same, but one is longer than the other. I'm sure I bought the shorter one.  :brickwall:

I need to ask you Ryan, what brace is that from the shock tower to the fire wall on your charger w/the long gated slotted holes in it? Is it due to the car being an R/T or? I've restored a few and I don't recall that brace.
Mark

That looks like an E-Body in that picture.

Nothing to see here folks, its just a Bluesmobile
