I was wondering, is it better to restore original parts, or , when possible, get new replacement parts?  For example, is it cheaper to get an old part rechromed or buy a new one?

Thanks.

that all depends on the specific part. :Twocents:
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Completely depends on the part. Sometimes its easier to fix, sometimes its easier to buy. Also depends on the person, some people want all original parts and not repo's (thats not to say repo's are junk, some are as good as original).

Edit: 68 beat me to it
