Need advice on putting in my new 3/4 floor pan?

Ok I have the rusted out piece of junk cut out and have already truck lined the frame and the inside. But new floor pan has front bent down lip to connect to the long sorta beam thing under the seam which looks how it orginally connected together but that piece is rotted in two section and I don't if I should cut the whole piece out and just weld to actual the pan. But if noone knows what I'm talking about I'll get pictures Monday to show what I mean because thats how the floor pan connect to the pan behind the pedals.

Take pictures, I used epoxy to put new floor pans in, alot easier & no tig welder.....

Ok heres what I mean I had to cut a section out since there were holes in it and I just can't get the floor pan to sit flat in the back. So I'm assuming the shifter console plate is in the way and won't let me sit it down flush with the back pan. And need advice on what to do up front with 2 sections missing out of that lip.

And I do plan on welding it like it suppose to be since the welds will last I don't trust that epoxy but I was going to but decided no on that.

What to do is cut out that rusty metal & since the new floor pan does not go that far you'll have to get some sheet metal & make your own peice. Also put that same bend in it so the new floor pan has something to weld to. Sometimes I just cut the new floors bend out & just weld to floor with out it, but you have so much missing there not really a option for you. Make sure you screw the floor pan down to that crossmember/frame peice in several spots as this will pull floor down tight to where it should be. Then Plug weld in this area also. I've seen to many ametures just weld around the edges of floor pan but not the middle, Then the middle is suspened 1 inch off frame & crossmember,   Not good. Have fun. LEON.
