318 exhaust question

hey Guys,

On a 318 with stock manifolds what size exhaust, and mufflers would you recommend? 

On a 318 does the coolant run through the heads like on a big block?

Yes the coolant runs through the heads. The outer manifold bolts (or studs) will leak coolant if removed. I ran 2-1/2" dual exhaust. All stock except headers.

Id run 2.50 true dual with either and h pipe or an x pipe and flowmaster 50series, or magnaflows, both give you a decent sound, the 50s eries are quieter inside than flowmaster's 40 series.  just my
