Airsoft

I'm just wondering if anyone else is getting into the new sport of Airsoft! For those that don't know what airsoft is it's a cross between pellet guns and paint pall guns. Some police forces are using it as a training method and it's really neat. The guns are VERY realistic and sometime you can't tell the difference between the real and the airsoft guns. They shoot 6mm plastic BBs or a 6mm paintball. They shoott around 250fps so they do hurt when you get struck. I'm just getting into it but some of the guys I played with have full tactical SWAT gear, kevlar helmets, goggles, etc.

Yeah, I know a couple of people into it....my nephews - 12 and 8 yo....

Wow... I'm 22 and I'm the youngest in my group! The average age of any of the teams in Canada are 30!

Don't you guys have paintball? Paintball is what adults here in the US are into...they consider airsolft a kids game....not sure why. I haven't played any Airsoft games but I've shot the guns and been hit (it stings a bit) but I've played paintball and it seems like more fun. I imagine the games/scenarios are the same between the two, but I think the "marking" ability of the paint makes the game a more realistic - if that's possible.

I think what the adults like about it is the fact that the guns are extremely realistic looking. I'm not sure why but paintball was fun but started falling out.

That's the webpage that pretty much got me into it. There is clubs/teams all across Canada too. Some of these bloody guns are going for up to $600 each!

I've got one.  I hate how it's a single shot, though.  It's a pretty nice rifle, for a toy.  Removable stock, removable barrel lengthener, folding stands attached to the stock, flashlight, miniscope, etc.
