Should I part this 72 Charger out?

Ghoste read the post.  The guy didn't describe the condition of the car correctly.  I am not travelling 10 hours for nothing.  So we negotiated a price and loaded it up.

Ok everyone.  I have to get out of here and into the shop.  I just got another 71 R/T last night that I have to get on the rotisserie.  Also looking at a 440 4 speed dana air grabber GTX for sale locally.  It's just the shell..no motor, trans, or dana.  But does have the hood.  I'll post pictures when I can.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I read the post (more than once) and I still don't get it.  Yeah the guy described the car wrong but if you bought it because you felt you drove too far to come home empty handed, then he still won.  Two years ago I drove further than that under similar circumstnaces and it was to buy back a car that I had formerly owned and always regretted selling.  I understand completely what you felt when you saw it, but I kept my money.  I was damned pissed that I wasted an entire day of my life and gas money, and babysitter money, and borrowed a pickup and trailer and racked a LOT of miles on my best friends truck for nothing, but I work too hard for my money to waste it out of spite.

what is with the cloak and dagger crap?  I will never get this.  Seriously... if you knew you were going to part it out then just put the car in the parts for sale section and call it good.

I feel like I have wasted more time on this thread just because of the dishonesty purported by you Rob.  So great, grand, wonderful... you made a point about misadvertisement.  You could have done this post entirely different and got the same point across.  You know.. like this:

I bought this car.. this is what the guy told me... here is the car actually.. be careful on people misrepresenting vehicles.. i bought the car still for a lot less... the end.

Easy wasnt it?

... the difference here is that I trust you when it comes to 3rd gens.. whereas other people I would question everything. ( :scratchchin: should I change that thought processing now?)  Secondly, if I were to even attempt to buy the car... I WOULD HAVE TO SEE EVERY INCH OF THAT CAR BEFORE THE PURCHASE.  If the damage came up when I inspected the car... I would not have bought it.. simple.

This whole long and drawn out process (the whole dangling the bait concept) is just aggravating as all hell.  It really kinda pissed me off that you felt you had to do this to prove a point.  Well, your point and 75 cents will get you a cup of coffee in my eyes.. whoopty doo.

This is about as bad as a chic offering you to stroke her kitty and then takes you home so you can play with her cat "fifi".

I don't see why don't part it out, and that was BEFORE see the small dent. lot of goodies that could be mounted on correct equipped cars, Just an opinion!
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Well,,,, as misleading as it is I do get his point. The problem here is that among members of this board/family we do not expect that another is out to break our chops.  Though it was done in a very strange way, I do get it.

The first and most urgent reason I was interested in the car was to see that it stayed in one piece. I do like the 3rd gens. but also have a big project I am doing now. I just didn't want to see it's demise. Now after seeing the drivers side I have my doubts that it is worth cutting in half and resurrecting when the rest of the good parts can make another Charger or two or three whole again.

Also considering that I have received many IM's about this thread and I am probably the reason it continued here instead of being moved to the 4-sale section, I think it best I lock this and let it die. This will still give members a chance to read it and take Chargerkids point, but also stop everyone from jumping the gun and trying to buy the car before they see the end pics.

Chargerkid, when you decide what you are going to do with it, PLEASE don't break our chops. Put it where it belongs and for sure you will sell it as one piece or many.
