I believe the movie car is still part of Mike Yeager's Corvette collection that is housed at Mid America Motor Works in Effingham, IL.     It was on display there at the Corvette Fun Fest in Sept.

I own a copy of the movie. I like the movie and the car :yesnod:

Why would anyone replicate that thing?

TruckDriver

Maybe they took one from a junk yard like they did in the movie for the school project. In my opinion, it's no different then replicating a General Lee. Especially if it was a wrecked car to begin with.

That thing is UGLY, I have always thought that car was ugly, What's a shame was the solid black Firebird/Trans Am that died doing that movie, Shoulda destroyed THAT ugly mother!

That car is sorta like Gary Coleman or Vanilla Ice --

I don't actually LIKE this stuff, but somehow I'm kinda glad that it's still out there.

400/6/PAC

I saw that movie years ago and I thought it was a cool movie.
I really don't remember that front end looking like that.

BigBlackDodge

I liked the movie when I was younger, it was pretty good for a car flick. But the car is to over the top for me.

Funny, at about 1:15 into that video Mark Hamill whips the steering wheel to the right and the car slides to the left? :shruggy: Must be a right-hand drive thing. :D
