Hi guys,

My 71 Dodge Charger is the first car I've had with axle adjustment. What's the the story with the adjustment ? Are you supposed to nip up the collar and back it off a little like front wheel bearings or what ?

Mine at the moment has a few millimetres play in and out - how tight are you supposed to tighten it ? I actually have a set of Green Bearing on order, which apparently negates the need for the adjustment, but I thought I'd ask out of interest.

The FSM for my '64 rear end calls out 0.013 - 0.023" end play.  I think that the '70 RR rear end I installed had around 0.020" when I did it.

I think the whole process has been posted on here someplace Peter.
