I have been trying to find an undercoating that will match the rough look of the factory but all i find is this stuff that goes on smooth like paint. Where can i find the correct stuff? I have looked at some new cars and they still seem to have the heavy rough looking stuff so I know its out there. Do I have to go to a place that undercoats to have it look the way I want it? Is there a place I can buy the gun and undercoating to do it myself? I see guns forsale but the undercoating that come with them is still that thin stuff.

Thanks for your help!

I got my schutz gun and undercoating in little quart cans from Harbor Freight.  Put a regulator on the Schutz gun and you can control the globbing of the undercoating to get the big rough texture the factory had.  There is a step-by-step on the webstie http://www.69hemi.com and it is in the Restoration section under body & paint.  Also here is a picture of the setup I used.

NAPA sells rubberized spray undercoating that is rough after it goes on.
