I posted the shroud I was selling in 3 places. Here (dc.com),V8Buick.com and Victoria's craigslist. Well when I sold the shroud 2 weeks ago, I posted on V8Buick.com and here saying SOLD!! so theres no way I got this from a member so it had to have come from craigslist. I just got this message....smells like a scammer to me!

"Basically I am willing to purchase your 1968-1969 Buick GS/Skylark shroud - $125  i'll really appreciate if you can forward some pics. In other words, i'll very glad if you can tell me the status condition, cause am a little beat skeptical about the condition. Has a matter of fact, i'll like to know the least price you requesting for ,not to forget, i will be leaving for the netherland any moment from now, as such, i'll like for us to conclude this deal asoon as possible.  Most importantly, i'll really appreciate if you can forward your phone numer and where you located at, and please with due respect, i'll be anticipating your prompt notification immediately so as to conclude this transaction asap thanks. "

Its sorta funny, because whoever sent me this looks like they copied and pasted the title from my ad into the subject and the item name from the ad into the email. Should I email him back to tell him its sold and maybe its not a scammer. Or incase it is, should I delete it OR should I have some fun with him? :shruggy: :D

likely a scammer. his grammer spells he's ether really dumb or has very little grasp of english. Hmm looks like their learning and trying to make their responces look a little more legitimate.

Just reply with an e-mail that says, "Sorry, The Item Has Already Been Sold"

Please feel free to copy and paste.  It is not worth the effort to do much else, especially if you arn't sure if the guy is just really bad with english, or a potential scammer.

Ignore it, its a scam.  I get those all the time. Why reply and let them know your email address?

Since his/her english is bad I'm willing to bet it's on of those Nigerian money scams.  A couple of years ago I was selling a 79 Malibu wagon and some guy claimed he lived overseas and wanted to buy the car to put it in a movie in the desert. ::)  He just wanted pics and didn't want to come and see the car.  He was more interested in me giving personal info so he could steal my money.  There are a variety of Nigerian scams out there, look up Nigerian scams on Google and you'll see how these idiots work.
