mini tubs/exhaust

I am passing this question along.

The car is a '68 Charger R/T. The 440 is being built and the exhaust has already been purchased but not yet installed. The exhaust is TTI headers, 3" exhaust with an X pipe, Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers.

The original rear end is gone and the search is on for a Dana axle.

An opportunity has come up to have mini tubs and spring relocators installed. :2thumbs: There's also a 3rd gen Dana available that can be narrowed to fit.

The question is...

Will the TTI 3" exhaust fit over the axle with the mini-tubs or will the exhaust need to be modified?

Having the exhaust end before the axle is not an option.

Thanks in advance.

I am doing the exact same thing on a 1971 Challenger in the shop...    The best as I can see is the tail pipes needing slight tweeking (then again this is so the factory tips fit through the valanece....     dont know on a charger...    they shouldnt as the pipes usually run on the inside of the frame rails...
