wondering if a 1975 plymouth fury could have been ordered with 440 and a 4 speed or have this as a dealer installed option

RD

i thought all 75 and up b bodies *edit big block cars* were 400's except for the police pursuit vehicles... hmmmm I am not sure... not my cup of tea.  I have not heard of 75-79 b body with a 4 spd though... interesting.. got any pictures?

all the data i have found shows it to be a 318 car from the vn and fender tag, the guy that has it says it was changed at the dealership to 440 4spd, regardless it was a flawless install car is a high 3 low 2 condition and only 1250.00 not original but getting date codes for the motor as it has HP manifolds figure 4 speed 440 8 3/4 posi rear and pistol grip shifter should be well worth the money to tear it apart along with anything else worth ebay

RD

8 3/4's were not offered in 75.  does he have any documentation lending to the dealer install?

and yes I agree with you, sounds like a good ebay car.

Data book shows a 400 was the largest engine available. A three speed manual tranny was available with /6 or 318 so the pedal set up could be factory.

So no...it couldn't be ordered from the factory. As far as the dealer...sure anything was probable...

Sounds like an interesting car.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.
