Blocking heat X-over on small block

Does anyone make an intake gasket that will block the heat X-over for a small block? Normally I would not worry about this as it is a mild street engine but the intake I am using(Edelbrock Torker 340) is cracked in the heat X-over area. For economic reasons I'm going to do a quick and dirty repair on the intake(drilled the cracks -then JB weld) .Thinking that if I block the X-over it might hold up better till I can replace the intake. Any thoughts? Thanks.
