rough idle and dies

Got my 69 running and replaced the plugs after breakin. ran pretty well for about 200 miles, until now.  It won't idle down enough and stay running.  It will idle fine for a few seconds then die.  I have to have the idle set up beyond where it should be to keep it running.  The plugs appear fine, timing is correct.  Not sure what else to check.  any thoughts ideas or suggestions?

I'd start looking for vacuum leaks...

^^^  yep - massive vacuum leaks will do that or some carb issue
