Hello, I thought I finally say something about myself since joining.  Actually I've lurked around for a while.  I live in SC and have been a wing car fan since high school.  My first car in 1976 was a 71 Charger and for the most part its been Mopars ever since.  Currently I have a 69 Coronet R/T and a 70 Challenger.  After looking at a Bird and Daytona clone a friend built, it got me stirring again to build one myself.  I know clones are a sore spot for some but after watching Ebay and other sites I see it's about financially the only way I'll probably have one unless I win the lottery or I stumble upon a barn find.  I think I have a better chance with the lottery.  For me, most of the enjoyment comes from doing it myself.   I recently sold the 31 Roadster I had for the Challenger and cash to get some funds together to start one unless I find a good deal on a built one.  The posts, info., and tips on the real deal and putting together the Daytona clones have been great  :2thumbs:.  I wish there was a single source for nothing but clone building how-to's and pictures.  I haven't nailed down which one I'll get yet but I'm leaning to the Daytona since there are already a few Birds here  in Chas.  At least I have the Vega plug on standby.  Although I've seen some rough trashing of other folks cars that have been up for sale, some of it's been helpful on what kits are better, what to look out for or stay away from.  I posted a pic of the 2 Dodges.  Sorry to include the Ford but it's all one picture.  I drive these on a regular basis so they're no trailer queens but do ok at the local shows.  David

Thanks all for the welcome.   Hopefully by next years end sometime I can be on the road winging it.  I'm not going to say it too loudly as the 68 Firebird Convertible Sprint I've almost finished off for the wife has taken 2 years longer than when I said it would so its going to have come first to keep everyone happy  ::)
