8 3/4 vs. 8 1/4 rear end i.d.

I have a 72 318/904 car. I looked under the rear end and scraped the guunk off the tag and confirmed it says 2.76 but no "s" for the sure grip. The bolts are in the front not the rear. Is this definitely an 8 3/4 rear end?

There is a 72 Chrysler Newport att he pick and pull that I can scrounge a suregrip from that also has the bolts in the front for $75. Should I do it?

it is an 8 3/4, and yes, get the SG unit... you would be dumb not to.
