Trans fluid capacity?

Wow the manual says 16 and 1/4 pints. There's no way. How much really to fill it up with a filter change.

7-8, I would get to six, turn your engine on, put in neutral, let it warm up to operating temperature, shift through the gears slowly, then recheck in neutral, fill accordingly after that.

If the only service was a filter change it could take as little as 4 quarts; depends on how much fluid drained from the converter while the car sat.
