i have a 440 that is giving me a hard time getting to run it starts if i dump fuel down in the carb but won't stay running after that fuel is burned off and don't like to idle i'm guessing i have a bad fuel pump so i got a vacuum/pressure tester from Yearone can anyone tell me what PSI i should be getting from the fuel pump and if anyone has any ideas what else to check for or suggest

Fuel pressure should be for stock usually 3-5 lbs and no more than 7 lbs.

Possibly a plugged fuel filter or plugged sock in the tank.

it can't be a clogged fuel filter or sock i only have a bottle full of gas and a hose going from there into the fuel pump inlet because im in the middle of buying a new gas tank my old one was rusted ill be checking my fuel pump push rod today
