Well, I tried to start up the 440 in my 70 Charger RT today for the first time and it seems to want to crank really slow and I noticed that I am not getting any spark to the plugs.

I have the MP Electronic ignition system in it. Anybody have tips on where I should start trouble shooting it???

New motor? Cranks really slow? Assuming the batter is strong and the starter is good, your timing may be way advanced?

Back in the day...After I rebuilt the 383 Mag in my '69 Charger, it took two batteries to get it started. Jumped it from a friend's pickup with him laying on the accelerator. It started but timing was too advanced. Backed the timing off and never had a problem after that.
