Better known as the Harrahs casino heist car from 1970.Wingcars and I went down to Wildwood NJ.To do the annual car show and it was there as advertised.I also recall earlier a boardmember asking about this car and its story .The guy with the car John was really nice. Dave showed him pictures of his former wingcars and mentioned his experience with these cars .And asked him if he could look over the car.

Wow, really nice.  It's finally nice to actually see the heist car. I love the clean firewall too  :2thumbs:

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Did the guy have much to add to the story behind the car?

Thats what I wanted to find out as being in both wingcar clubs for years.Only remember reading in a newsletter about a bank robber daytona. You figure something would be in the archives or the internet about .With detail about a robbery to a major LV casino.I tryed a google search and found nothing
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Las+Vegas+Nevada+harrah%27s+%27casino+heist%27+1970&btnG=Search

If they had newspaper cliping with names dates and places to back it all up .I didnt see any.Maybe some Nevada board member can hit the 1970 newspaper microfilm at the library and look it up.And if the feds conficated this car in the 70-s .And now due to the wingcar worth and popularity. It now emerges from deep storage. And is a totally a unknown car being seen for the first time since. But was once owned by a well known mopar collector .Which I heard is the same guy who owns the black hemi daytona seen at carlisle and the nats this year

???
        ???

John has his mojo workin when it comes to detailing.   The Hemi car looks nice for cruise nights, but is not to the standard it could or should be.

Hey Annie, nice pics.

I want to get to the car show in Wildwood some day, but would have to stay overnight since it's so far. I went there with my wife & daughter that day after leaving you & Dave. I can't believe how much that place changed since I was there last, like 17 or 18 years ago. No more cottages & Cape Cod style homes, everything is 3 & 4 story townhouses.   :o

You and your wife and daughter are welcome to spend the night here anytime. We're not that far from Wildwood. And we have plenty of room.

how does a radio delete car have an antenna?

ok on that subject, should all wings with a radio have the collapsible antenna, or did the FM cars really come with the one-piece units?  I know later cars had the whip masts...

were exhaust tips an upcharge item?  i don't remember that being so.  am i wrong?  I know california cars didn't have them, and mike partridge's 6 pack car (from michigan, with original tailpipes) doesn't have them...  was there some savings for not getting them?  I know repop window stickers are often so wrong you might as well crumple them up (hood pins being charged on a bird sticker, for instance.)  the window stickers I have pictures of show no charge.

ALSO, should there be a charge for the tires?  would they be standard on a hemi car at price, or was it a manditory option?  would you have a charge for the 15" steel wheels like you do with rallyes?

nascarxx29

I can scan you a original window sticker from one of my past superbirds. And when you compare it repos. You will be able to the difference .The exhaust tips were a option .My friend sold his 1 owner V superbird.Which had down spout exhaust and 14 inch rallyes and sold new in NJ.I never owned a superbird with a factory AM FM radio.I do have those radios. But I recall the mast antenna. My friend superbird was written up a while back in the DSAC entitled reunited after 17 years. It sold new locally. So I went to the microfilm library to get its ad .Which matched the stock number #2749 for car RM23VOA167121 on its paperwork it was the car advertised and as described. And found more of the same. The car sold went to FL to a guy Rocky Dunkman. He moved to SC with it we heard .
