That'll be a nice project car for whoever gets it.    Definitely better than most of the others I see.

There is a couple from Belleville IL, The husband has a RT SE 440 4 spd and the wife has a RT SE sunroof luggage rack car both 69s.  I wonder if they are registered?

I really think the luggage rack option almost ruins the look of a second gen.

Even though it is somewhat rare, if I had a luggage rack car, I would take the rack off.

These are both very nice, they show up at many cruizes and shows but I have never seen them show there cars.  I remember a year ago I was at a show in Mascoutah IL, A man and womon were asking questions about my 68.  Those to RTs and a 68 RT were in the parking lot across the street, I told the couple if they liked 2nd gens they should go to the parking lot because there are three of them, all nicer than mine out there.  They smiled politely said "I don't know if there any nicer than yours but the two RTs or ours.  We had to go look at them they told me all about it,  They had a son who had a 69 bee clone in the show.  Real nice people.

Okay so Chris, what is the figure that you think one will reach before the auction closes? I'm guessing it will be in the neighborhood of $38-43K. Just a guess on my part. I do have an odd fascination with sunroof cars, but not as much as I do with the A11 cars.

i didn't know there was a
'tilt
' option...  :shruggy:

Looks like a Daytona in the background.

Looks more like a car with its trunk open to me.

Restored to "as new", that will be a real looker. A luxo-barge R/T, but if you've got the option sheet and a sharpened pencil, go for it. :icon_smile_big:

moparjohn

yeah, sometimes more.  I got mine appraised at Carlisle- $64,000.  AND it's a driver!!

Well I wasn't throwing that figure out that just because it has a sunroof, but rather due to all of the options that this car has, and the fact that its an RT/SE with a power sunroof. Which in an of itself is a rare combination. I'm not sure if anyone knows the total, but I've always gone by the figure of 29 RT/SE's with power sunroofs.
