Hey guys.  I am in need of your expertise.  I have the rear end housing, 8 3/4 axles, and a center chunk with 3.23 limited slip.  I need to know what bearings I'll need, and how to put this together correctly.  I know this may be intensive, but I don't have much experience doing this and want to learn to do it myself.   :shruggy:

If you need to know, it came from and is going back into a 68 r/t charger with a close-to-stock 440 and 727.  I'm trying to get it on wheels, and the rear center chunk and axles had been scavenged from this car long ago.  I have recently purchased replacements, and I need an idea of what else I'm missing, and how to do it.

Thanks in advance for the schooling.   I'll be waiting.   :popcrn:

What casting number is the rearend?  It should be a 742 with a clutch type limited slip but after this number of years, who knows for sure.

The factory service manual is your best guide for properly assembling all the pieces.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

New axle seals is always a good idea
