I am looking at puting a car on the Ebag and was wondering if there was any sellers there who could clue me in!
If I put something on Ebay with a reserve and it doesnt meet it what do I get charged?
If it sells what % do they take?
If it makes reserve and the buyer backs out is it a pain in the ass?
What else should I know before I do this? :slap:
Thanks!

It will cost you between $40-$50 to list it, no gaurantee that it will meet your reserve. If it sells, I think they are still just charging you a flat fee of $40-$50. So it would cost you around $100 to list it and sell it. I would try Craigslist first, since they are free in most markets :2thumbs:

I'd look into asking for a deposit 48-72hours post auction. Maybe ask for 100-500$ or a 10% depending on your reserve price. This way if he pays the deposit but backs out during delivery you still have some cash to cover yourself for listing fees.

Dont list it with a buy it now unless you have a paypal account and require immediate payment. That way the auction wont end until its paid for.  Scammers like to hit the BIN and you are the one who gets the shaft.

It will run you around $50.00 flat rate regardless if it sells or not.

I have sold several cars on E Bay, it works out well. Once in a great while you might have some a-hole that backs out. All you do is re-list it, E Bay will not charge you if the person backs out. Make sure to take plenty of good pictures. Put on as many as they will allow. And the best way to get paid is Paypal. But if I am not mistaken, Paypal has a limit on what they will accept. If the car I am selling is expensive I went to my bank and opened up a separate empty account. Then I have the buyer transfer funds from his bank account to mine. Then I always move it from the new account into my primary account. Nice and easy.

Good Luck.
