I was flipping through a year one catalog and noticed that they sell these.  Im just curious because I know alot of you guys restore your cars to 100% stock.  Has anyone actually replaced the vinyl floor mat instead of getting carpet?  My old 68 Coronet and my first 73 Charger both came stock with rubber floor mats instead of carpet.  Both had completely rotted floor pans too, those things really hold moisture...   :icon_smile_blackeye:

Thats funny...  I dont know how I ended up with 2 cars that way.  Hell for a while I was starting to wonder if carpet was rare.   ;)

down here in Venezuela never have seen a vinyl floor on a car but have seen on some Vans. Maybe because being a tropical country, floor needs more isolation ( beside the exshausts ). I have read being Plymouths the "low price" Chrysler line car they were standart with vinyl floor and carpet was optional... but as I posted never have seen a vinyl floor on a passenger car.

Up here it was defnately available but I dont know the details.  The cars I had with the vinyl floor were a 68 Dodge Coronet, 4 door, 273 auto, blue interior...  and a 73 Charger, WL21 Coupe, 318 3 speed manual, black interior...  I wish I could remember for sure if the Coronets vinyl floor mat was blue to match the interior or not...  I think it was blue.   :shruggy:

It depends on the model.  For Chargers, carpet was standard from 66 through 70.  In 71, you get rubber in some of the lower end Chargers.  Coronets, Super Bees, Road Runners, Belvederes are a whole 'nother animal.
