Hey guy, I'm puting an electronic conversion kit on my 68 440. What voltage regulator should I use.

Nacho-RT74

just electronic ignition kit ? or complete electronic conversion ?

if you go with complete electronic conversion, would it be nice get electronic regulator and double field alt too...

Note: a single field alt can be converted on to double field, just opening a hole on back and installing brush isolator and brush ;)
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

When the MP electronic ignition conversion kits first appeared they advised against using them with the pre-'70 voltage regulator because the points in the regulator create "electronic noise" that can interfere with the operation of the EI.

The vast majority of the currently available pre-'70 replacement regulators have replaced the points with circuit boards so it's no longer an issue. Even the old points seldom, if ever,  caused any problems.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
