According to my 71 Dodge Chassis Service Manual the capacity is 4.4 pints

that would be 2 2/5 qt.  OR just fill it up on the side of the pumpkin through the access hole on level ground untill it starts flowing outside the pumpkin and then stop :D hehe

but it also matters on which year of 8 3/4 and what it went in.

Don't forget to add a bottle of friction modifier first....then top up with oil.  ;)
