hey guys have a 440 here the piston is flush with the top of the block(flat top with valve cut outs)i think you guys call it zero deck and a set of 346 heads what might the compression be?? :shruggy:
I don't care what is is designed to do,I want to know what it can do.

It depends on the volume of the valve reliefs and the head gasket thickness, with 7 cc valve reliefs and a .020" head gasket the CR would be around 10-1.

the pistons seem to have a figure 8 type cut out,not seen that before

Thats the original "6 pack" style Piston, with the "figure 8" as you called it, or, 4 Valve relief Piston. They can be reversed to reduce friction with the 5* Pin offset, but noisier.
