I know bodymen that can fix any wrecked quarter for less then they are selling those repos for.

They can still kiss my butt.  :-X i'm not buying the tooling B.S. it's simple supply and demand and they are yet another company to jump on the mopar overprice bandwagon.

They have had issues with their quarters. The specs on the LH ones were off. They have had to scrap the ones made to date, retool and are making new ones.

I wonder if Camaro quarter panels could be installed on a Charger with minor modifications?   :scratchchin:

Maybe these can be reworked a little...

Was at a pretty large car show last year - they estimated 1700 plus cars there. No 1st generation Chargers, 2 second gens and 2 third generation - total of 4. There were at least 200 67-69 Camaros out of the 1700 estimated cars.

Exactly.  The same Chevy guys that jumped that 69 RT last year.  They are just seeing the dollar signs on the popularity of the 2nd gen Chargers and trying to cash in on it.  They are wasting their time.  They wont sell these cheap because they are in it to make big money.  They wont make what they want, and production will stop.  No other parts will be made because they cant make $2000+ profit on each panel like they think they can.

Who knows, Maybe production stopped already because of poor initial demand, poor because of the high price, not the want or need for them. Maybe tooling set backs/delays just a excuse to rethink if they should continue ahead? :scratchchin:

I wouldn't bet on that just yet.

As I understand it, the whole "Hardcore Racing" operation is basically a rich guy's money-loser fun project.
The Chevy guy in charge of the whole thing is also a '69 Charger buff, and he's apparently had this body-tooling thing on his mind for several years already.

Now how can he be a Charger buff and not be participating on this forum?  The whole world knows we are THE place for Charger lovers.  We're like the cool kids who hung out in the parking lot and everybody wanted to be like us but they were afraid only there wasn't any secret initiation if you were cool you just came over instinctively and hung out like us.  You know.
