I bought an edel. 1791 for my 440 6 pack 69 charger last June.  It was $142.00.  It worked GREAT, but locked up on a rod run this weekend 400 miles from home.  It is less than a year old and has about 700 miles.  I am reluctant to buy another, but am wondering if anyone has any experience with these pumps or other recommendations.  I bought it from Mancini Racing.  They direct me to Edelbrock and Edlebrock directs me to Mancini.  I put a cheap inline pump in to get it home, but want to replace what I have with another like it or something comparable.

was it a high flow pump and if it was did you install a regulator with it?

They are advertised @ 120 gph free flow rate and NOT needing an external regulator.

Did you install the filter before or after the pump?
