I just got the email that I had been selected as the September issue winner! It said that I will also be receiving a $250 dollar gift certificate to stainless steel brakes. I'm pretty excited even if it doesn't mean I get a article in the magazine. Does anyone know about this sweepstakes? Do you get an article in the magazine or do you just get a gift card?

moparguy01

the other ones ive seen you just get the gift card and a small blurb about the car.

Good job!

If they are still doing it in two years I'm sure they'll have a useful giveaway then too.

To me having the article and pictures printed in the magazine is going to WAY cooler than any gift certificate they could have given me. I'm affraid that I may not use the gift certificate, because even with it, I'll be spending 800+ on a disc brake kit. Maybe I can buy some nice calipers or something that I can use on a cheaper kit for a different company. With my budget and a cam swap and body/paint work in the near future I can't afford to be throwing money around like that.

Mean 318, I just sent them an email with a description and a few pictures and a month later I got an email saying I was being considered and that they wanted me to write a 200 word description (they had prompts) and then in a week I got an email saying that I had won.

Personal attacks? When? Who? Huh?

If you think that was a personal attack all I can say is where have you been? That is tame by comparison of previous "attacks" and no, not by me.
