Just going to install an OEM rear sway bar on my '71........when mounting the frame rail brackets....should you use four seperate mount bolts similar to the OEM mounts or use a through bolt..which will be much easier?...what would you recommend.

selftaping individual bolts like the originals is LOT easier. I did it

I would use a througth one just in case damaged hole on frame rail unable to get tight the selftapping screw

Nacho I have no holes in the frame rail yet...just the dimples....I think a through bolt will be stronger than self tapping metal bolts.....I don't have the OEM frame rail mount bolts...I'm thinking they are similar to the mount bolts that fasten the fuel lines to the frame rails? ....not like a sheet metal screw..but like a fine thread metal style bolt...that's why I'm leaning towards some long 3" X 3/8" bolts and go through the frame rails...
thanks for your input as always.......Ron

WEIRD... Cars in Veneuela never got rear sway bar and still in that way, holes are there.

I would try first the small holes and then selftapping screws... is strong enough... remember they are 4. Yes they are similar to the fuel lines, in fact the same as far I can recall ight now... 1/2" hex head. I went to an ironshop and bought them.

there is a thread I startet about them and pics were posted by a member
