I think your on to something.Part number for parking brake pad is 253493"7".Since that number is in its own box it does fit.

Now i'm a little confused...I 'm looking at my B/S right now and it reads 88 F8 11.  I am wondering what the 88 would indicate and my car was a column shift car so the 11 is confusing me as well.  It seems Geno wasn't 100% on this either.  can anyone decipher.  I also have power steering so the 88 means??????

I don't know 'bout you guys, but it's threads/discussions like this where I learn all kinds of stuff.  Thanks for the input & corrections, that'll only help all of us understand.

A couple of things to add still:

Doug/69CoronetRT - I still have my reasons for correlating that internal sequence number to the order of printing.  Not to say that I have any major insights, or as many Hamtramck Broadcast Sheets to refer to as you do, but I have seen patterns emerging from later in the year that made me think that.  Maybe next week I'll send you a PM and explain my hair-brained rationale when I'm back at my office with all my resource material sitting around.  By no means can I say for certain, but I have my reasons for thinking what I had written earlier.

The Yoke box on Line three is still puzzling, since my Daytona (26" radiator/yoke) has nothing at all checked in that box.

On the potential for S25 on the shocks, I actually started to put down S25 at first, but the problem is that they didn't use the 32/92 firm ride shocks on the car (67/93 coded on Line 4).  Is there another "S" code for a standard-duty shock package?  It almost looks like that portion of the B-sheet is still there and just folded over itself, so maybe bmoparmofo can check that out (or someone else with the same shocks coded on Line 4 can chime in).

micepmcs, as you can tell I was really not all that certain about the steering column codes.  I'll dig around in the Parts Book on Monday to see if I can find out if there is a Part Number for a steering column that makes sense for that box.  Could be that the first two digits tell not only whether it has power steering, but also whether it's a column or console shifted car.  That would make sense with what your sheet reads.  I was comparing all the sheets I have which are all for console cars, but the code here differed when Power Steering was or wasn't coded (which is what made me think what I had written earlier).  That would leave us with the question of what that third box means - which is coded 11 on this car.  Does anyone have a sheet with anything different in that third box?  That would really help us figure out what it means.

Gotta get going, but this is great stuff to think on.

Don't know if it helps at all but I do have the same codes in line 4 (67/93((it's gone but I assume it was a 9))) and I have nothing in my build sheet as far as the S2 block.  here's a pic of mine.

I agree...I wish there was more reference on discussions like this or some sort of coordinated repository of BS and information. Each year and plant offers differences in how things were coded that make it difficult.

There may be a more strict coorelation at 69 Hamtramck than I'm aware of. This is an example of where a joint effort only helps. I'll send you the numbers I have from 69 Hamtramck plant cars to add to what you have. More data only helps stabilize the sample and increase reliability.

I agree. I think what I posted before on the yoke makes sense but I'm not sure it's as hard and fast a rule across all the plants as the source indicates. Again, joint effort only helps all of us. It would be easy enough to complie and sort by radiator size and plant to see if there is a correlation.

I haven't looked at this detail in depth yet but I'm assuming standard shocks may not have been coded but when the firm ride shocks were ordered as an option or part of the suspension package (Super Bee, Road Runner, R/Ts, etc) the BS would code S25. Again, a little time sorting data would confirm this.

It's my understanding the first number is an assembly number specific to construction and not found in the parts books. Think of all the different combinations of steering columns that Mopar would have to have available and code (A, B, C, or D body, column manual shift, column automatic shift, console shift) then toss in the variable of w/wo power steering plus tilt or telescopic columns. You could cross reference the column code to the tranny options, the console option, the power steering option etc and come up with the correct codes if you had a large enough sample of BS. I'm reasonably sure the last code refers to the turn signal stalk on the column. I believe code 11 indicates a standard turn signal lever. You'd have variations here too when you toss in Auto Pilot (cruise control). Again, another item that could be easily cross referenced.

All of the codes could be compiled and broken down if there was one central source that was willing to set up the charts and cross references to other codes and plants. It would be a large undertaking but doable.
