i have both a paging lojack and a ravelco unit.  the lojack was about 1000 and the ravelco about 250 i think.  ravelco claims no one has ever been able to hotwire or bypass a ravelco unit in the last thirty years.  all you have to do is remember to pull the unit out when you leave the car.  it attaches to your key chain.

the lojack will page you if the car is stolen.  but its gone by then, and you have to get the police to look for it.

both devices can be defeated by putting the car in a covered trailer and towing it away.

but they're still better than a car alarm no one pays attention to.

So you can't bypass the revelco by poping the hood and hotwiring the car?

thats what they claim. and they've been selling them for 30 years.  check their website for more info.

i put them on four cars for the price of one lojack...
