Is this old news? Hope not -- I was away for a bit.

This is rumoured to be a test mule for the Challenger -- read all the article before you panic when you see the four doors of the Charger sedan.

However, I would think the other rumour that seems to be floating around (of a Charger sedan 2009 facelift) would be good. Now. Just lose the extra doors and it's a start.

Either way, it seems to point to some flexability in the planning of these future LX, well, LY platforms.

at this stage in it's development it's got to be a foregone conclusion it will be launched as promised, at the Chicago show next Feb.
Anyone (or any Corp.) willing to take Cry sell her on by shelling out multi billions will need the upcomming Chally to be the ice in the tea.  It's the Halo car for 2008.
I doubt with all the costly development work completed it would be chucked for any reason.
Meanwhile the Commander, Aspen, Pacifica and Crossfire are all in danger of being hit by the door on their way out.

Ummm, actually Silver, four door cars sell very well.  The outcry around here has always been about using the name of a legendary two door on a family sedan.  But as far as sales, family cars have always outsold recreational cars, for want of better terminology.

If they roll that exact body out with power under the hood and keep it at or under 30K, they will not keep them on the lot.  That thing would sell out fast.  its hot.
