Hi, there is a 75 Coronet in the JY in the very nice condition with all the stickers and labels still at their places. It has a C code 6 Cylinder motor and an automatic trans with D34 code on the fender tag. The trans code of my 73 Charger with H code 340 is also D34. Does it mean that both trans are the same type? Can I take that trans for my Charger? The price is aroud 85USD and I paid 10USD as deposit. Should I go pay the rest and take the trany or forget about my deposite?

The /6 trans will not fit your 340 or any small block.

Thanks for your reply. Is there any solution I can match them? Any adaptors, etc?

D34 code simply means Torqueflite transmission, the one that is standard equipment for the engine installed, that's why a /6 and 340 have the same code on the fender tag.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

There are No adaptors for this, the starter is in a different location. If you tried to make one it would cost more then just getting the correct tranny, good luck.
