there is basically two kits out there. one is cheaper and won't mount if you have a front sway bar. the other is the ssbc, its a good kit. :punkrocka:

I am not sure who the "other' place is that everyone is mentioning. I used a mp Front SDisc conversion kit and swapped my 14 inch original wheels that Came on the car for some 15 inch Cop Wheels and it all fit perfectly with my PST Super Front End Polygraphite Kit. I can't speek for or against anyone else but mine all fit the first try and looks and works G R E A T!!!!

  My Two Cents!!!!! :icon_smile_big:!

I did the 73 A body spindles and used 76 caliper adaptors to run the 11.75 rotor, someone is selling a caliper adaptor to run viper calipers with the 11.75 rotor. I need it for my charger as I have to convert it to manual brakes due to to little vacuum with the new cam and longer push rods.

It has been said many times before but I will toss it in again. Unless you are RALLY racing with your car you do NOT need all the fancy shmancy Porsche, Viper, Wilwood or any others. These are the answer for the RICH AND SHOW CARS.

The factory 11.75 rotors and single piston calipers work great and you can buy ALL the parts at ANY auto parts store along the road..

Do the search and spend an afternoon in your local bone yard. It will be much cheaper and down the road you won't have to wait a week or more at some hotel along Rout 66 for your repair part.

That's what I did, I used a whole setup from a 78 Magnum.  I rear mounted the calipers and bought all new parts at Advance Auto Parts.  The total cost was less than $500.

I have the mpbrakes kit.  Bought it on ebay from a seller mattscamaro for $400 plus 45 shipping.  Pretty reasonable, but that is just for the lower front kit.

   I bow to STEVE P, & BlueSS454! The stock FMJ pieces from cars like the 78 Magnum that Blue used is the best possible way to go. I personally would pay a premium for those components over what the others cost. If you just CAN'T get to a JY, the Stainless Steel kits are the best from my experience, though I must say that I helped a guy put on a Screbird kit, and it was really excellent, but in reality, it is only putting on stock GM parts in place of stock Chrysler parts, So I guess it makes sense, as any of the factory parts are better than the aftermarket ones (my experience and opinion).

It's ALWAYS better to spend as much money on car parts as possible, that way you know for sure it's the best stuff. :icon_smile_big:

I have the Wilwood set-up and it works just fine.  No install problems or anything.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Doesn't the MP brake kit use MOPAR components? They have the correct 4-bolt master cylinder, it looks like mopar-style single-piston calipers as well. So this would clear a sway bar yes?

This is the kit i bought so I sure hope it works! (haven't installed it yet!)
