Torque converter question.
Just took out my 1967 383 motor and transmission( transmission is rebuilt with a 2400 stall ).  Replacing with a 1969 440 motor.my intentions were to bolt the 440 up to the 383 tranny but apparently two different torque converters ( 10 and 11 inch maybe?. anyways what im wondering is if I can take the plate off the rear of the 383 crank and place it onto the 440 crank so the 440 will bolt up to the stall converter.  If this can be done, any balance issues?  :scratchchin:

that will work fine , the flex plate didn`t balance the 440s , but the torque converter did if the 440 has a cast crank & you didn`t mention if the 440 is a cast or steel crank or what year it is

1969 440
1967 383

Both steel cranks
should be fine then right?

thanks chry
