Looking forward to taking mine out to the local fishing hole this Sunday.  Haven't had it out since September.

I've a friend who has been a mad kayak fisher for the past 5 years( fish finder, trolling motor, etc. etc. ) . its now for sale  after he meet one of the 18 foot white pointers we had trouble with this summer  while fishing in the harbour , spent 2 hours hanging on to a piling while it circled and "bumped the kayak"   :eek2:    his exact words were its was WAY to close to the surface of the water ,he could count its teeth

This is my current setup.  Nothing too fancy, since I don't have a proper place to store it.  The grey one is my Emotion Stealth 11, a basic entry level fishing sit-on-top.  The green one is a Viper, that I bought on Black Friday at Menards for my girlfriend.

Kayaking is one of the passions in my life.  I've put in many miles and days on the water, mostly flat water in the Sierra Nevada.  I've had numerous ocean trips on California's Central Coast and Hawaii.  Tried my hand at white water (different kayak than my sit-on top) and did not do well.  That is a very challenging activity.  Done several rivers, just not white water.  The mountain lakes are where my heart is at home.

Here's a pic of the put in at our secret Sierra lake. It's at 7000 foot altitude, we'll spend a half day paddling to the far side where we camp for 2-3 days in the Emigrant Wilderness. We try to make at least 2 excursions every year.

A day in my kayak is a day in heaven.
