The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Well... that's better than being on the receiving end of that rifle.

Holy crap, a number of those guys were holding it wrong to begin with.  I cringed before a couple shots.  MAN!!!! :scared:

WTH!? is that thing! Never seen a rifle with recoil like that.
Nothing personal, just business

To be honest it looks kind of useless... It must be powerfull with that kind of recoil, so you blow a hole the size of a cannonball in the target but it also seems to dislocate your shoulder and throw you 3 meters backwards. I would think something half as powerfull would do the job as well. Maybe on the long range it won't but it doesn't really look like a sniper rifle either.

One of the comments said something about it being a last ditch weapon for hunting big game.

Don't know if that's the story, but it sounds plausible to me.

The range seems to spawn a lot of videos though!

That's the 2nd or 3rd one I've seen from there.

Another comment said it was located in the UAE (United Arab Emerates).

We were at the range on day and there was a guy two stations down shooting a rifle. Each time he fired I could feel the blast and he would stand up and cuss and hold his shoulder. I noticed the box of shells were for a 300 H&H mag. After about four times he stood up threw his earmuffs down and asked if anyone wanted to shoot his gun. I told him no I'd seen enough and I didn't want to punish myself trying to shoot something like that. The only one worse than that was a guy shooting a 460 Weatherbee Magnum. He leaned into the scope and when he fired he cut his eye on the scope. It was a mess.

That's kinda funny kinda not, but I had this Senior Chief I worked with that every hunting season(coincidence, i think not)  He would come in with a cut on his eye.  We all would go scope whipped again huh Joe.... and he'd be like no, why?  We would just laugh at him.  :icon_smile_big:

They probly wont sell too many of those with that kinda footage.
Not for home defense because if you miss, the burglar could just walk over and pick the gun up while you lay there stunned.

Elephant gun?

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

pandamarie

Thats one hell of a gun. When I was stationed in Hawaii I did a lot of shillotte shooting and one of the guys there had a 458 weatherby magnum barrel made for a thompson contender, I think it was a 14 inch barrel, its been 20 plus years ago. that thing would move him back 3 feet while he was laying in the creedmore position(on your back with knees high and legs used for pistol rest)
I bet some of those people in the video dislocated their shoulder, and that guy that held it between his bicep and shoulder has got to be in major pain. biggest ive shot is a barret 50 for rifle and a thompson contender 10 inch barrel with 45-70 hot loads 500 grain bullet, very accurate out to 200 yards.

the gun in question looks like a weatherby .480 magnum.  I shot one and it hurts,,bad........
