Gas Gauge doesn't work on my 69, Is it the sending unit

My gas gauge doesn't work on my car just sits on empty and I was told it is most likely the sending unit.

Ground the wire that attaches to the sending unit and see if the gauge goes to full.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

:iagree:  The needle should peg or got up to the full mark.  If it does then the sending unit is bad.  There are people that rebuild them and there are also NOS ones out there as well.
