Weird stamping on an original voltage regulator.

Ok, I know that factory installed voltage regulators had a yellow stamping in 1969 but I have heard that earlier ones were stamped in red.  Both stampings were on the top part of the voltage regulator where the raised IGN and FLD were.  I have found an original voltage regulator in a salvage yard that is weathered with a lot of surface rust on it and has the raised IGN and FLD areas but the stamping in red ink is on the sides of the cover not the top.  What is stranger yet is that it is stamped on two sides.  Wording is exactly the same as what the orginal Mopar ones are that are stamped on the top where they are normally but has WARNING in two places facing opposite directions instead of one.

Is this a factory mistake?  Has anyone seen anything like this before?

I mainly got this so I could restore it and have a spare original for my car should mine crap out somewhere.
