These were in my car when I bought it.  I don't know where they came from, but the lettering looks factory original to my untrained eye.  Speedo says HEMI and the other says HEMI CHARGER.  I was just wondering if anyone knows where these came from and if they're worth anything.  My car will never have a hemi, so I was considering selling them and finding a stock replacement cluster.

maybe uses an Hemi voltage limiter on back of cluster :P ;)

Back to the serious... I don't think was assemblied Hemi cars without Tach anyway. I can be wrong, but don't think so.

It was an option.  Most everything was an option. Power disks, tach, non-slip rearend, all those are things you would think would be standard but as I remember they were options.  Check out my 71 at www.marlia.com  Kim

I was checked the stie partially where you talks about the torque box... and  those pics look very familiar hehehe... BTW never could make the Charger biography/history since nobody sent me info about his cars beside you from who I got more than expected

I like a lot the presentation of your website with the post-it like links

back to topic... yes probably options, but if you have the money for an Hemi, would you stop the options choosing a non tach car ? is not logical specially with a "race" engine. Anyway I'm not saying was part of package or not, just that I never have known about an Hemi car assemblied without tach

My buddy has a 70 Hemi Charger RT with manual drum brakes.  I always thought there was something weird about that.  Is that correct?  Here's the Fender Tag:

On my car, I asked the owner why he would pay for the hemi yet have a column shift auto.  He told me, and I quote, that he was 28, had a wife and 2 kids, she had finally agreed to let him get a hemi, and he was just trying to save money.  So, even though he was spending big bucks, and he did get a tach, he was still skrimping on the options.  Kim
