Im about to order the black out for my hood but there are some options and Im not sure which is factory correct. I have the Ram Charger hood and I can order one without the cutout for the door and cut it myself and work the decal down in the opening. I can also get one with the cutout for the door and paint black around the hood opening so the body color doesnt show. Im not sure which is correct but I imagin its the one with the cutout. Could someone pls verify im correct.

Thanks

I had a '71 Charger R/T survivor, never repainted... The opening for the louvers, or in your case door opening, was cut out of the decal. The hood in the area of the decal opening was painted black to match the decal (this prevents body color from showing). Personally, I would get the decal with the opening already cut.. But, some would probably prefer the uniformity of all decal.. You run the risk though of the decal wrinkling when one tries to form it into the opening........

Thank you....I will get it with the cutout and go with painting the opening. I want it as factory as I can make it.
