I need some ebay advice please. Am I being scammed here.

This is a new one to me.

I'll make this short.  I have a Manik Hummer H2 roof rack i'm selling on ebay. I've relisted it 3 times and still hasn't sold but i've kept all the questions that members have asked me.

Today, a gentleman's id that states he is in Canada messaged me that I've never received a question from.  He actually contacted me through the contact member selection instead of asking me a question via the listing.

What is strange to me is how did he get to my ebay id contact member section if he wasn't on the listing that I have up there for the racks. (if that makes sense to ya'll)

here is what he wrote.

"Howdy--Did you sell your Hummer H2 roofrack?? And if not, how much do you need for it?"

I don't like to break ebay rules so I chose not to answer him back and I'm thinking about reporting it as well cause I think it's a scam of some sort.

What do you guys/gals think??

One more thing, the users id is glendonmike.  I don't know Shakey's last name but I believe his first name is Mike, so if you read this Shakey and it is you, sorry for the confusion.

I dunno, I buy and sell things frequently 'on the side' of Ebay. A few people have tried the postal scam on me but I don't accept anything like that and no checks so as long as the money is in my Paypal account and then transferred to my bank before I ship I don't really care who he is.
I just tell them that I won't ship until money actually clears into MY bank FROM Paypal.  It can't really be reversed by then. It's either that or send me cash in an envelope!
If they give a hassle over that then you know it's a scam.
