Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Bad advice! 295's will NOT clear with 51mm (2 inches) of negative offset. You will almost certainly hit the outer wheel lip. That's like 3 inches of back space.

For that much tire, you need zero offset, or maybe 12 mm of positive offset... or air shocks.

275 60 15s will be real close to the outside lip with that much negative offset, but it's been done.

Again, you need to post some specifics about your vehicle.
