Hi guys as I'm a new member I was wondering if there were any members at or around the Detroit area. Also if there is. Do any of you guys have favorite cruise spot in the summer

I was about to ask if there was anyone was near Detroit. I am looking at a deal with a person in Southfield (according to mapquest out side of Detroit), but he is not willing to ship the intake and carbs. By any chance, would you be willing to pick them up for me and ship them? I would be more than happy to compensate you for your time, if I do buy the parts.

Hi Ian, I haven't ever been a third party in a transaction like that before. I might be a little woried if something were to happen to your parts in shipping them. I would blame myself if something were to happen to them. Where about do you live ??

Thank you for your interest, but the guy was so proud of his parts that he wanted more than I could buy them new. He wanted almost twice for a used, after market, 6 pack intake and carbs (needing rebuilt), than what I could buy new. There is a new set on e-bay for $1300, he wanted over $2000. To bad you did not get any replys from Detroit based members. I am based at Hill AFB UT, about 45 min north of Salt Lake City. There are only a few members in the SLC area, but I am gone too often to meet up with them, but one day I will. Good luck finding some Mopar people in your area, I would search for local Mopar clubs. They may not be charger drivers, but that will only mean that you will have the best ride in the group! 

If you ever need anything in UT (or the Middle East LOL) let me know.

I'm in that area and we like to go to Bakers in the summer in Milford off I-96, they have a show every Sunday starting at 2:00.  Great time and lots of cars!

Just N of Detroit here. Lot's of cruise spots all over the metro Detroit area. Pampa'a bowling alley in Warren, Continenental bowling lanes in Roseville, Woody's in Roseville, the Chrysler Museum has cruises and car shows throughout the summer, just to name a few.

I Live in Plymouth, Mi. There are so many car shows (any day of the week) that you could drive around Detroit burbs and just about bump into one. By the way, IMO the absolute BEST resource for locating car show info is "Cruis'news" published locally. You can subscribe to it by going to www.cruisnews.com. Its packed with great car articles and special interest stories.  BTW, I have a 1967 Coronet - and think this site has awesome info and great people.

I live in Detroit. Actually right off of 8 mile Road in Warren. Only 3 miles from Woodward. Makes Cruising Woodward Conveinant for me fortunately. LEON.

I'm in Farmington Hills, just a little bit NW of Detroit.  You really can drive around in the summer and stumble on a random car show at a bank, or a mall, a speed shop, a McDonalds, etc.

You should go to Autorama in March, lots of cool Mopars on display, usually lots of car clubs, vendors, and drag strips have displays too.

I've got a '69 Dart GT that I cruise in, been in the Berkeley Dream Cruise parade the last couple of years, and I'm working on a '68 Charger R/T 440 4-speed.
