rear jack plates what color is correct ? 68 charger PIC

mine had a lot of surface rust . even under the part witch is bolted on top of the rear frame rail  but there was  patch of bare metal there also, (previously un restored  63k mile car ) .  so i just  blasted &  clear coated them with matte lacquer , don,t no if it is correct but there was not any sign of paint on  mine .

they are correct in that grey color u have em in, i was watchin vanishing point the other night and when he chucks the jack on the ground its identical 2 yours-MATT

I am pretty sure that they are the same as the bottom finish of the rest of the car.  They were on the car when it went to paint, so they would be sealed, primered, oversprayed with body color (they really didn't "paint" the bottom), and hit with undercoating if your car had that.

                     good call  (HeavyFuel)  you are right     check out this picture .  68 charger on ebay .                                                            wasn't any sign of this on mine though      plus mine had some undercoating
