Busted at Mopar Show................

First, the good news. Jonathan and Shelley(aka.eastcoastcharger and yellowcuda) came up to Tn yesterday with the blown-hemi Charger for the Cove Lake Mopar Show.
Congrats to them for getting 1st place in the Hemi class. Ole Red took 3rd in stock class. I can tell you now, I salvated(sp) all day over that blower motor. Sounds awsome and they did some great engineering work stuffing that elephant under the hood.

...............ok, guess you all want to know the bad news. Well...........on the way out of the state park, we decided to see what the hemi would do. To say we smoked up the park would be an understatement. Guess the Trooper didnt take to kindly to scaring the hell out of the little old ladies at the quilting show on the other side of the park.

Actually, the 1987 Trooper car belongs to a friend of mine named Rodney Hargess. For those of you following drag racing, Rodney won the points this year in the wild slant 6 class. Here he is in the right lane.

Yes, most shows will allow up to 3 modifications for stock class. I have the wheels of course, Holley instead of the AVS and upgraded to electronic ignition. I need to get a set of Redlines for my Magnum wheels.

I need to get a set of Redlines for my Magnum wheels.

That will look killer.  I think that looks awesome on Magnums.  A lot of peeps naturally put the redlines on steelies, but the Magnum look mixes it up.  IMO.  I'm gonna go that route too with my Daytona.  I have to sell my current Magnums, they're too wide for redlines.

Wheels and tires sure make such a difference.
Now what's the deal with 3rd place?, I thought that was a trophy car.  (1st all the time)

Haha, well I was more than happy with 3rd place, considering there were more 68-70 b-bodies than anything. Actually, I received 1st at that show last year, but the odds were alot better.
I believe this is the GTX that won my class.

Do you know if that RR went on the Power Tour by any chance? In HotRod magazine (Oct.) pg. 48  it looks like the same car . Lift off hood and every thing. could be a longshot but look similiar. did the front liscence plate look silver and read mopar performance?

Oh, you never had me fooled with those pics getting pulled over- I knew as old as that Dodge Diplomat cruiser was, it was all a set up for the camera!!!
