I have a 440 I had my engine rebuilt and now I need new headers because one of the old is warped. I've decided to redo the entire exhaust. Can anyone suggest a good set up. I would like the biggest, loudest, deepest, best sound possible sound. I don't plan on usind a catalina converter.

I would go with TTI headers with at least 2.25'' dual and a h pipe. My preference for mufflers is Flowmaster, because they will withstand a backfire and hold up, plus, they wont rust. I had dynomax's they were quiet and collasped from the inside after doing about 80 on the bypass and they wont refund me or replace after I took them to their booth at a car show once. My flowmasters(old 40 series) are really loud depending on your speed and you slightly notice them inside. I put the heat/noice padding under the carpet even though I didnt need it.

We just put in the TTI Powder Coated Headers... 1 and 7/8ths to 3"... they sound nice and work great...They fit really good as well and man do they cool off fast...

Thanks for the great question!
